Upper Hattons

     About Us

I started Upper Hattons 8 years ago. It was an old derelict farm

with approximately 10 stables and a few barns but with always

having horse blood running through my veins since childhood I was

determined to turn into the centre it is today.

I began riding at a young age with my own ponies and then
progressed onto horses. I then started to compete affiliated; I have a
lot of my knowledge through the wonderful instruction of
Carmen Lanni.Under her instruction I backed youngsters that
came over from Germany which were then sold to competition
yards. I have also been very grateful over the years to have built up a
great relationship with Richard Maxwell and have been able to learn

a great deal from him – he visits us all here on a regular basis.

I now teach on the livery yard, break youngsters as well as breed

Anglo European stock. I also train problem horses and still compete

myself with my own horses. I live and breathe for the horses and the

greatest pleasure I have is to see people happy – then I know I have

achieved my goal!
